On this past week's episodes of American Idol

On this past week's episodes of American Idol, singer Harry Connick Jr. was on hand to mentor the Top 5 contestants remaining as they took on the songs of Sinatra. On Wednesday night, Connick also took to the stage where he performed and then played piano afterwords as the Idol hopefuls sang a medley of his songs. Connick truly seemed to be enjoying himself on stage as well as when he worked with the Idols, but his Frank Sinatra story included talk of Harry Connick Jr's wife Jill Goodacre.

Jill Goodacre is a former Victoria Secret model from Texas, currently 45 years old. She and Harry Connick Jr. married in 1994 and have three daughters. The family all lives in Connecticut. On tonight's episode of American Idol, Connick Jr reminisced about the first time he sang for Frank Sinatra. He talked about getting so starstruck and nervous that he completely froze up because he was in the presence of Sinatra. Afterwords, Harry was walking down a hallway with his then girlfriend, Jill Goodacre. Harry suggested to her that maybe he should go talk to Sinatra about what happened so he knows that he really is a good singer. Harry's girlfriend suggested that Sinatra looked like he was in a bad way and maybe Harry shouldn't bother him. Connick Jr. went up to him anyways and told him he's usually not that bad a singer.

As the elevator in the hallway opened for Sinatra, he turned towards Harry and Jill. Harry said he was ready at that moment for Sinatra to give him the career-inspiring words of advice he needed. Instead, Sinatra took Jill's face in his hands and told her she was beautiful, then kissed her on the lips. Sinatra got into the elevator and left, with Connick Jr. likely stunned in the hallway. Harry Connick Jr. didn't turn out to be too bad of a singer after all, and Harry Connick Jr's wife Jill Goodacre is still with him. So maybe Old Blue Eyes really inspired him with a kiss to his girlfriend?

In addition to modeling lingerie for Victoria Secret several years back, Jill Goodacre has had some film and TV roles including a few episodes of "Friends" on NBC and "Odd Jobs" on USA
